Winter Wonderland Dessert Bar at Caught In The Moment

Kim created this beautiful dessert bar at the Caught in the Moment Photography studio. Isn’t this just the most wonderful Winter Wonderland set up ever? We loved how well Kim’s creative eye matched the beautiful back drop to the colors in the dessert bar.
Caught in the Moment Photography has worked with Two’s A Party in the past, and Kim was so happy to create this masterpiece for them.
The talented Christy from Simply Layered Cake Design created the desserts: star-shaped sugar cookies drizzled with blue icing, iced chocolate brownie bites, and raspberry filled butter cake cupcakes with lemon buttercream. Kim added silver chocolate sixlets, vanilla taffy, espresso codials, blue raspberry jellied rings and chocolate kisses to enhance the decor.
Best part: everyone had a wonderful time!

Vintage Inspired Roaring 20’s Candy Buffet

Here’s a fabulous candy buffet Kim from Two’s A Party styled for a ravishing Roaring 20’s party at The Reef in Long Beach. The antique feel was brought to life with and array of ivory and dust rose feathers as well as strings of classy pearls.
Ever had a grapefruit jelly candy?! Well let me tell you, it’s a party of citrus delight in your mouth. Kim used those joyous jellies along with strawberry puffs, watermelon pina colada sours, pink and white pearl sixlets, vanilla taffy, and chocolate kisses to complete this candy buffet.
We loved the fun ostrich feathers and boas that made this buffet a ROARING one. Kim had such a wonderful time at The Reef Hotel, and we can’t wait to go back!

Our LARGEST Dessert and Candy Buffet EVER!

It’s true, BIG is always BETTER! …or it’s at least true when we’re talking about desserts and candy. Kim styled this chic holiday buffet for a very prominate law firm in Long Beach. One of Two’s A Party’s good friend Deborah from Romance Etc. does all the decor for their shin-digs, and this year, they let us join the fun with this one of a kind displays. Listen to this- the party had about 1,000 guests!
Kim went with a vintage theme that included black and white damask with a red accent to create a classic yet sexy ambiaunce. The desserts includede delightful cake pops and cake bites by Courtney’s Cakepops. D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S! Along with that, we had some goodies from Great Dane Baking Company that included eclairs, chocolate covered strawberries and holiday cookies. And lets not forget about the candy! No holiday party would be complete without a candy cane or two…. thousand. Not to mention many other red, white and black goodies to complete the look.
Our favorite part is the bling! Glamourous, but yet not overstated.

Spunky Sweets Tropical Candy Buffet

Two’s A Party teamed up with Simply Layered Cake Designs to create this photoshoot as a way to showcase the creativity Kim has in her Candy Buffet styling. We called this one our Spunky Sweets. It had a tropical theme in the dessert flavors and the inspiration came from the backdrop fabric that we fell in love with!

Are those colors not the best? We loved the bright contrasts of the yellows, oranges and blues against the simplicity of the black and white accents. Yes, Kim built the tray- she’s so crafty! And Christy created some AMAZING desserts, as she always does. From Coconut Crunches to Blood Orange Tarts to Mango French Macaroons to Tropical Mini Cupcakes and cake pops. Oh, and the Lemon Meringue Parfaits! Wait, who gets to eat the desserts when we do a photoshoot?!?! Bring them back!

Wedding on the mind?

Remember earlier this month we posted the rustic beach wedding candy buffet? Well did we mention it was from Two’s A Party’s and Romance Etc.’s  Bridal Fair at La Palapa Restaurant? We had about THIRTY different venders at the event, so we gathered some of our favorite pictures so you can all enjoy the fair one more time.

Kim did an amazing job pulling this event together. There was a runway show of gorgeous wedding and bridesmaids dresses, table set-ups styled by Two’s A Party and Romance Etc.,and of course a mock wedding ceremony on the beach!

I’m sure you all remember this spectacular Candy Buffet by Two’s A Party, and look at the extreme attention to detail: Kim places the mini tarts on these opaque crystals that look like they came fresh out of the sea.

It wouldn’t be an event without floral arrangements from Romance Etc. We always love how they use succulents in their arrangements. We love all the green! Are those diamonds in the roses? Talk about romance!

I wish we had more pictures of this booth, because Christy from Simply Layered Cake Designs created two beautiful white wedding cakes that took our breath away. If only you could taste with your eyes. YUM!

And last, but not least, here are a couple table displays that Kim from Two’s A Party and Deborah from Romance Etc. styled for the event. They really do know how to style a wedding… or any other event for that matter.

Cirque Du Candy

That’s right, step right up to see the one of a kind, delectable, captivating, imaginative Circus of Candy!

Let me tell you, this spectacular creation would make any trapeze artist do a flip or two. Kim created this booth for The Pike Event Gala to promote event facilities for The Pike of Long Beach back in September. The depth of the color pallet created a vintage feel that sets this buffet apart from any other. The sophistication of the long feathers and dark wood furnishings pull the look all together and reveals a 1920’s inspiration from her design.

From black magic balls to butterscotch, there’s something for everyone. Kim even threw in some sugar-free vanilla caramels! You can’t help but feel like you’ve stepped straight into an original Ringling Bros. Circus when you set your eyes on the old-fashioned licorice sticks, black and white whirly pops and salted popcorn. Maybe you’re in the mood for something sour?–Pucker your lips with some sour cherry balls or sour cherry sassy taffy.

Kim had such a blast putting together this Two’s a Party booth, and it shows! The tulle ribbon, festive fabrics, black and red buttons, and one of a kind candy dishes is what brings this buffet to the next level of creativity.

A Wave of Salt Water… Taffy

We LOVE LOVE LOVE how this rustic beach styled candy and dessert buffet turned out. The shabby chic style is super popular with weddings right now, but instead of the usual country theme, Kim created a beach inspired  display. She styled this masterpiece for a bridal fair that Two’s A Party and Romance Etc. hosted at La Palapa-Del Mar. What’s so impressing is the balance that Kim found between simplicity and a theme. It’s easy to get carried away with a vision and drown in an over kill of sand, miniature sail boats, tiki torches and other nick nacks.

Fortunatly, Kim has an artist’s eye for design and styling. She actually made the dessert trays that held the lemon meringue pies and shortbread wedding cookies by Simply Layered. Along with those, Kim also decorated the table with pina colada licorice, silver chocolate coins, vanilla salt water taffy, white espresso cordials, and silver chocolate sixlets.

SUPER FREAKING CUTE!!!

Modern Candy Buffet Fit For Any Event!

Check out Kim’s creations that she did for The Hotel Current in Long Beach back in May. The Current is a super chic and modern hotel in downtown LB, so that inspired this modern candy buffet. The simple lines and colors showcase how this adorable buffet can be the perfect addition to any event.

Sweet Traders provided lemon cupcakes with buttercream frosting, which were life changing at the first bite. Kim also decorated the buffet with blue chocolate sixlets, white espresso cordials (YUM!), sour lemon balls, vanilla salt water taffy, and silver chocolate coins. This buffet could easily be tailored to fit any event: a light blue and white colored baby shower, a pretty in pink birthday party, tea party bridal shower, or the perfect blue and gold UCLA graduation.
